As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Every girl's dream

...is to have a Mr. Darcy.

Introducing my Mr. Darcy...

Does it say anything that he nicknamed our home phone number Pemberly?

Piano playing awry

Like mother, like son. My mom will understand this post with no further explanation needed. But in case you are not my mother, it is only fitting that a child of someone who claimed to be able to play the piano with her elbows would be capable of playing the piano behind his back!

Daddy and the park

We had a treat and walked to the park with Daddy last weekend. The weather was beautiful and David got some playtime in before we had to walk home. No fear as he scaled the 3 story play structure! Elizabeth had had enough and fell sweetly asleep on the way home.

Hilarious Playdate: take 2

We headed to a different fire station the other night for take 2 in our attempt to check out some fire trucks. The firemen in that station were only too eager to show us everything. Perhaps a bit overkill on all the explanations for the littlest members (especially that late at night), but it was still quite interesting.

My two pumpkins

We went to the Christmas tree farm for a hayride/pumpkin patch with our MOMS group. This was full of meaning for me since it was at a similar location (was it this one?) and similar excursion, that Michael and I met 12 years ago.

David really enjoyed the hayride and the train ride. He loved playing on the playground with the other kiddos and checking out the goats (once almost scaling the wall to join them). On the other hand, he was not such a big fan of posing for pictures among the pumpkins. We finally got one sweet picture when bribed with the rest of his lunch. Elizabeth did quite well the whole time and just took in all the new experiences.

(and for my Bama friends, must admit I sooooo miss Tate's farm...this was such a far cry from that!)

...and finally, the offspring of one such Christmas farm 12 years ago!
