As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

the beauty of blue

This year's spring pictures were not so successful, but we did get some lovely pictures of the bluebonnets and a few sweet ones of individuals in addition.

entering the terrible twos

Well, really, Bizbeth is very mature and ahead of schedule.  She hit the terrible twos probably at about 14 or 15 months old.  This month was a bit of a reminder of that time frame though.

She can be such a joy but my sweet and INCREDIBLY strong willed girl can equally well throw temper tantrums over any little thing that is does not fit into her plans.  Often, the fights are over taking her picture (mostly I just give up), getting milk at any and all times of the day, and EATING!!!

Yes, eating is still the largest battle and such a matter of prayer.  It is a pure battle of the wills and since Mommy will always win, she goes to bed/nap/etc...without eating often 2 meals a day.

Maybe that is why she is so slight. :)  She still looks very petite (although right on track size-wise), but she has very wide feet.  I told her one time that her feet were cute, little, "fat feet."  I don't think she knows what that means because now she quotes "fat feet" back to me almost every time I put on her shoes. :)  She does love to walk around in Mommy's shoes too though.  Those fit pretty well! :)

She loves her special time (most often with Daddy) on her "couch" (AKA queen bed in her room) before going to bed.  What a joy to snuggle with a quiet, little girl who sucks her two fingers and holds her "Blabbie."  She actually does just lie still enjoying our presence.

Most of the time, she is not so still.  In fact, one could call her quite active too.  She and David have a great time racing through the house.  She also LOVES to go outside and get dirty. Quite a tomboy.

This month has not been entirely challenging.  She is such a quick helper.  No dragging of the feet.  She just does exactly what I ask of her...normally picking up the baby bottle, getting the boppy, picking up toys, even making her own sandwich. (no, it did not really help her to eat by involving her in the process of making her own food...but she sure loved the helping!)

Potty training is still going on.  She will happily sit on the toilet whether she needs to or not (most of the time she does), but she still will wet her diapers if she gets busy.  She pretty much always tells me afterward though.  Dirty diapers are another thing.  She refuses to use the toilet for that still.

Definitely best pals with her brother...

Loves her sister too...

When she smiles, she can light up a room!!!

I love this girl!!!
