He loves me!
As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

never still ~ May/June
David and Elizabeth are rarely still for long!
I captured a lot of pictures this month in the midst of motion.
(both in mommy's monster shoes)
E and D are constantly chasing each other around the house in circles. Occasionally they will stand still though for a picture.
I know I could save myself so much money on E's wardrobe if I just got rid of all normal street wear. Even if she is dressed in play clothes, within an hour, she is back in one of her princess dresses!
We had no a/c for 5 days this month. We survived the hottest day sitting in front of the fan. A and E just loved it!
And E and A also shared a few moments of joy together afterward.
So proud of both my kids! David has finally got the hang of word searches and found some words all by himself. (and this after he begged me to do school last week and finished an entire week in one day-- he has been learning despite our rather informal schooling. We will have to work on handwriting again though). And Elizabeth has been fooling me all along. She comes home from church with her coloring papers all scribbled on. I had never really thought too much about it but have been a bit surprised that she is still scribbling instead of trying to color in the lines. Today, she wanted to color. She began by scribbling again. But then she took a crayon and traced the lines on the paper. I was amazed. She has an extremely steady hand! Then, she proceeded to color in some very small lines and finish the rest of the picture quite nicely. How funny! She is plenty advanced but has NEVER put forth the effort until today!
Oh, and a few comical comments by D this month. We drove by the hospital where he was born. He asked me, "How did they put me together in the hospital?" :) And another rather nonsensical comment that made me laugh... A had a single pigtail one day. D asked why Abigail had only one "pony" (the kid's word for ponytail). Then, he concluded with that, maybe she could be a fish. And Elizabeth walks around calling everyone (including me occasionally) "sweetheart." She has claimed more than a few times that she wants to be a Mommy soon.
These two keep me on my toes. What lively gifts God has given me!

hot days, cooled off
We spent this morning at one of the local splashpads. Certainly is nice to be so near some fun, free entertainment!
The temperatures have been in the 90s this week. And after 5 days of no a/c earlier this week, we are thankful to cooler temperatures inside again. However, these temps are just perfect for outdoor water fun! Even I got drenched with the kids. Felt fantastic!
Abigail was far more willing to go in the water this time. When holding my hand, she loved to run through. E was still more hesitant, but an empty wipes container provided lots of fun. And D? He just loves practicing his ninja moves while dashing through the spray!
