Christmas Day this year was spent just the three members of our immediate family. Nice and relaxed and full of photo ops while we sported the traditional Brown family outifts at Christmas. (that means unmatching and crazy--see post last Christmas)
Michael and I did not really have presents under the tree (except two books thanks to BGK and DHK). However, Michael did surprise me with a pair of pearl earrings (ask the story on those next time you see me), and even though MD does not understand about this yet, we felt we should put his one present under the tree (unwrapped however). He is learning to sit on his own and sat up long enough to take a few pictures of him enjoying his new pirate ship!
Two of our three trees looked rather lame this year. We gave up on lighting our pre-lit tree...which we had blown half the lights to. And I was so proud of our cats for leaving the " feathered bird" tree alone until I came across a feather randomly in the kitchen and shortly thereafter saw one of our cats licking her lips.
