As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

double digits for David

I cannot believe I have a child in double digits now!

Ten years ago, Michael David Weyler was born!  So thankful for this special boy!

David started off the day with his favorite gift...a box of lego weapons, shields, and other fun pieces that Gram had sent.  He was over the moon about these!

We had a laid back day.  We went to see Christopher Robin with our friends the Gilberts and Nici.  It was a sweet movie, even if a bit slow moving and predictable in parts.

The plan was to go to dinner with Daddy at our favorite, Oriental Garden (see Abigail's birthday post).  We arrived at the restaurant and ordered dinner.  But before it had even arrived, David was lying down on the open chairs by the bar.  I realized pretty quickly he was not feeling well.  In fact, he was worried he was feeling so nauseous that he asked to go home before we even ate.  We boxed up dinner and came home.  But the thought of presents enticed him a little.  He felt well enough to open the rest of his gifts (including two gifts paid with saved pennies from the sisters).  He is always such a gracious gift receiver and oohs and aahs over all equally.

He didn't feel up to any dessert though so we celebrated with cupcakes a day or two later.  Poor kid!

Where did the time go?  I know my days with him are a fleeting gift and I am hugging and kissing him all the time now!
