July ~
We did summer reading
experimented with hairstyles
Mommy did lots of puzzles (the kids just started the same one over and over)
Ate at Chickfila
Kids swam a bunch--and E and I wore our matching swimsuits one day
of course, more legos!
Some dear friends moved back to the States and the kids played together several times while they finalized the details on closing on their new house. The girls had fun dressing barbies and posing them next to the sparkling pool while the boys played nerf guns and video games. We even got to love on their dog, Shadow...
David ate his birthday mealworm lollipopv a bit early!
And a few other random and wonderful pictures...
August~
There were more hairstyles by the illusstrious E
Lots and lots of swimming. Times outside both in our pool and with friends in theirs.
We had a last hurrah with our dear friends the Harms who moved to England shortly after. But trying to get 7 kids all smiling at once was impossible. My Abigail's "mood" was not cooperative so we finally just took the pictures.
Uncle Paul, Aunt Susan and the boys came over too.
Playtime outside after swim clinic
Dress up time again
Elizabeth began reading and we were so proud when she finished up one of the Five Little Monkeys books.
Also on the reading front, the kids celebrated the completion of the church summer reading program by eating pizza at the church and coming home to pose with their trophies.
Also in August, we spent the afternoon with food trucks and bouncy activities at/after church one day.
We also started CC but more on that in another post...
September ~
David started 4th grade boy's church Bible study this month at Chickfila. It ended up being just he and one of his best friends, Bennett, and Mr. Kyle. The first night they posed with the cow.
I took some spontaneous pictures of the kids on the swing this month.
Girls had on their matching Best Sister Ever shirts. Photo opp.
While E created more of her hairstyles again, A decorated the couch with flowers.
We had the treat to attend Alice in Wonderland at a local playhouse. A new friend and homeschool neighbor was cast as the King of Hearts. He did a great job!
much better inside...
October ~
An attempt at pictures in the fog at a nearby farm were sadly a failure. Largely due to fire ants and my lack of photography skills.
We pushed strong in school. This month E developed a great love of writing that has lasted several months. Spelling is never as clear cut as writing out the word. A full and complete sentence for each word is manufactured upon her insistence and from her imagination. I also found random sweet notes on my desk.
my favorite of her original sentences
All the school must have tired out little sis. A, my child who never sleeps, actually fell asleep at the dinner table one night! I had to capture it because it is truly unbelievable for her!
Other moments were captured just because...
Goofy glasses made an appearance...
Welcome to our latest family member, Dotto!
We celebrated a special 1st Grade Bible Presentation at church with Abigail. Thrilled to have her own Bible now!
I finally found matching Mother/Daughter dresses as longed for by my girls.
And we braved the rain to trick-or-treat with some neighborhood friends. Although David came home exhausted "from all the walking!"
Whew!!! a busy four months. I think David's last pose says it all....
