Christmas portraits practice

My birthday present to myself was an online photography course.  I have been trying to practice shooting on manual mode since then.  Unfortunately, it is the wrong time of year since the lighting was so poor in our house at that time of year, but I have been practicing nonetheless.

The first ones were taken at night--a big no-no.   The lighting is poor and they are grainy, but I love the expressions.  White balance is off too...






















the next batch were portraits taken of them on various days.  again...almost none met my expectations for various reasons but still not to be written off...this is the kids- Christmas 2018!
