As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

On the fifth day of Christmas 2012...

...my true love took us to, the annual Christmas performance at CFBC.

Friday night we went to "Let There Be Light," a Broadway style musical at the church. It was the first of five performances.  Unfortunately, they did not have sledding after this performance, but we could not make the other ones.  We did enjoy the performance and watching our talented friends in it.  Friend Katie Curry had the starring role in the first act and friend Anna had a quartet piece among other things.

The second act brought the usual spectacular enactment of the Christmas story, complete with sheep, a donkey, two camels and an elephant.  This year, they had dancing angels as well and the most flabberghasting--four acrobats who climbed fabric ropes to the ceiling and swirled and flipped midair like Cirque du Soleil.  One was almost directly above us...perhaps a bit nerve inducing. Albeit far more spectacular probably than the very first Christmas, it was a performance well-fitting to the King of Kings who was born that day.

Sounds amazing. I'm looking forward to going to those types of things again one year when my boys don't get bored so quickly. Live singing is always the best.
