As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Night of Lights

We braved the weather (quite beautiful actually), the crowds (few since apparently the official opening is not until tomorrow), and David's bedtime (may regret it tomorrow since he has not napped for the past two days either) to enjoy the lights in Prestonwood Forest. If you live in the Houston area and have never done this, it is an experience! Each block has a different theme and part of the neighborhood agreement is that you are required to allow signs be put up in your yard at Christmas...at the very least. Most homes are decorated thoroughly. Only about half the lights were on tonight since we were a night early for this year, but two homes in particular really stood out. Both were decorated to the nines! (one has won "best house in the neighborhood" in two previous years, and the other had the husband dressed as Santa and wife as an elf outside greeting one and all) Sorry for the blurriness (they were taken via camera phone and Michael did not completely slow down).

hehe. As I recall Mike slowing down is not really one of the special perks of this tour. :-)
