As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

those fleeting phrases

When I stop to think about the changes in my little boy, it does sadden me a bit. Boys grow up and may never be as affectionate and silly as they are at this stage.

Here are a few phrases (some already gone the way of the do-do) to remember for posterity.

He has grown up:

  • da caaa- the car
  • pizza- police car
  • uh-uh-uh-uh-uh--anytime he spots a police car (and that is far more often than even us with his eagle eyes and us living right outside of a police station)
  • Bacu- Michael
  • Goom- Gram
  • all good- after being kissed when he hurts himself
  • up y down- upside down
  • Look! See!- said about everything...trying to draw my attention to his wonder at new things
  • peek-bo
Still part of the vocabulary:
  • copadoodle- helicopter
  • go bye-bye- constantly, several times a day!
  • I wuv you- what a sweet phrase!!!
  • Ameeeennnn!- with the hands thrown in the air
  • verta- a common subject since he loves Daddy's "convertible" so much
  • ...too- added to the end of every sentence
  • Tank You/You're Welcome- all said as one
  • Xcuse me- never actively taught to him, but he picked up along the way (so wonderful to have a polite child!)
  • Boo!- said to Daddy as we quietly sneak into the bedroom in the morning
