First, my grandmother K came to visit for a week. I had not seen her since my brother's wedding 4 years ago. She got to meet both our kids as well as my brother's kids and reacquaint herself with my sister's grown-up kids. We kept her running but had wonderful visits over meals, as well as a few shopping trips! (thanks M for watching the kids!) Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures...
Overlapping by a day and a half, we enjoyed a week long visit from M's sister Sarah and her son, Richard. We had fun hanging out with them and entertaining 3 children under the age of 4. David loved having Richard as a playmate. Thanks to Susan and Paul for putting together a picnic and water play day at her park. We also went to the splash pad at Timarron Park one day. M enjoyed sitting in dry comfort next to the splash pad while Sarah and I ended up a bit damp. :) E loved the water--far more than D did at her age. Another day we made the annual pilgrimage to Garden Ridge.
Thanks to both sides of the family for making the effort to come and putting up with crazy schedules and vocal children!
