As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Two Days for a Big Two Year Old!: part 2

Biz's birthday...

After naptime (which was far shorter than normal this day), we got all geared up to go to the YMCA in the Woodlands for a free Spring Break "staycation."  We went up there intently with the purpose of swimming.  I knew this would probably require Michael's help with three little non-swimmers in the pool.  I was right!  The fellow who checked us in took quite a while (a bit challenged in the math department) but 30 minutes later we were in the pool.  The water was really frigid in the kiddie pool.  The big pool was a bit better, but still a bit chilly and quite cool when getting out of the water. (under a covered pavilion but doors open to pleasant low 70 degree weather outside).  David cried for 10 minutes in complete terror (he is quite competent with his floaties on but forgot all of that in the last 9 months since swimming).  He finally settled down and enjoyed the pool.  Elizabeth has never worn her new floaties and did do well but was nowhere near as fearless as she was even 6-7 months ago.  Guess she has grown up and knows better now. :)  She enjoyed the time as long as she could float holding Daddy.  Abigail was the biggest surprise because she really was not happy at worst and only tolerated it at best.  Probably because the water was chilly and it was rather late in the day (morning child).

We came home via Walmart to pick up some frosting for the cake at home and then decided to pick up Chick-fil-A for dinner and forgo the cake and presents for another day.  It was already 8 pm by this time and bedtimes start between 6:30 and 7:00.  (besides, Biz really did not know the difference).
