As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

rodeo day

Our church celebrated Rodeo Day this year with rodeo attire and a festival of sorts Sunday evening.

The same clothes that had been a bit warm that morning for church at 70 something F were tested when we went back out again in them a few hours later at 60 degrees.  We spent 1 hour at the church and when we came out again the temperature was then 42 degrees.  And for those who know where we live, this part will really make you laugh.  We got in the car and drove home (1 mile and 5 minutes on bad days) and the temperature was then 38 upon getting out of the car!  Brrr...

Fortunately, I got a few adorable pictures of the kids right after church.  Too bad they did not want to all pose together though. :)

The evening festivities had to almost all be moved inside due to the bad weather and rain.  One very tight squeeze...

David did a football toss and a softball hit (he did connect nicely!).  Meanwhile, the girls rode tractors and tossed rings (or rather, Biz went around placing the corresponding color rings on the corresponding color bases).  The kids also did a beanbag toss and a corn cob toss.  David shot a bullseye with a yellow paint gun.  Both olders panned for gold in macaroni (long after the gold was all gone).  And David and Elizabeth also went on a pony ride outside in the chilly air!  Nice to have the excuse to leave early and get home again where it was warm though...
