As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Life in the twos

This month was a sweet month for our little 25 month old.  She has been cheerful almost all of the time and full of new interests.

Her favorite thing now is probably to dress up...like her sister.  And like Elizabeth months ago, she will layer 3 or more layers on top of each other.  She still likes shoes and loves to wear around dress up shoes.

She is also quite fond of stuffed animals and baby dolls.  She will carry them around for extended periods of time.  Something that neither of the other children has done.

And she loves to read.  (and be read to)  She is in love with the Princess books especially.  She put her flask up in the library for the summer reading program and got her free book.

Otherwise, not much else new.  Her last tooth is almost in.  Her conversation is insistent and obviously well-thought out, but not always comprehensible.  Oh, she is interested in potty training.  Think we will start soon.  While she has been eager to sit on the potty quite a bit over the past few months, she has yet to do anything.  But recently, she has been telling me right after she goes to the bathroom in her diaper.  Think maybe we should try again.  Oh, and after fussing about going in the swimming pool, she spent one day being forced to swim around with the puddle jumper.  She now really enjoys it.  She does quite well...although I still keep a close eye on her since she is really tiny and barely above water even with the floaties on.
