Four for a Fourth of July Baby!!!

My little fourth of July baby (actually due on the 3rd and arrived on the 2nd) is growing up!  She turned four this month!

We celebrated quietly with just family on Saturday, her birthday.  We made cupcakes and had some celebrations at lunch.  Abigail got the pink and purple cupcake so she did not have decide on a favorite color.

(love my big-eyed, chubby-fingered four year old!)

Afterward, she opened her largest gifts then...a coloring book and pens, a bag of M&Ms, a puzzle and an Anna wig.  David wrapped up a lego creation for Abigail as his gift and Elizabeth put some of hers and Abigail's bracelets in a pouch and gave them to her.  I am not sure they get the idea of gift giving.  ;)  But Abigail was excited to open these too... We decided Abigail looks absolutely adorable (and natural) as a red head with bangs!

While Abigail took a nap (sensible girl), David and Elizabeth and I went to the Dollar Tree to get Abigail a few more gifts from them.  David insisted that Abigail would want a rubber snake.  I reminded him he was shopping for her, not him.  Then he picked out a Ninja sword.  Hah!  Elizabeth was quite sensible and knew exactly what to choose.

After naptime, Abigail opened a few more gifts...She had some books (several ballerina books).  There was a headband, some rings, another coloring book/stickers, a pony, some candy, a light-up wand (David's contribution which she immediately decided was a microphone), another puzzle, some sunglasses, and a Rapunzel wii game.

What a wonderful day of celebrations!
