As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Family time

A few pics from the most recent family times...

First, we went to Michael's sister's house to celebrate a joint birthday. Susan and I share a birthday (same day, just a few years apart)! We spent the evening with Susan and Paul (Michael's sister and bro-in-law), Caleb and Colin, Alicia, and Julie and Kevin and Chloe. Susan went all out and made a tender filet, the yummiest acorn squash, and a great salad, all finished off by a tasty cake for dessert.

Alicia and MD MD laughed for Aunt Susan He visited with his cousins too...(even the silly one who wears a gelatin mold on his head as a hat! :) )

Then, last week, we went to Katy to celebrate Thanksgiving with my sister's in-laws who kindly invited all of the "Brown" kids over. My sister Anna and her hubby Ben had driven down from Michigan with four kids (Alex, Fritz, Emily, and Jane) to move a load of things into their new house in Victoria. My brother Andrew and wife Shayna joined us too. Rusty and Nita had quite a spread! And more than a few other guests.

Rusty (Ben's dad) and Jane Alex and I We had barely even walked in the door before Jane (Anna's youngest) grabbed MD and tried to hold him (he is almost as long as she is...) She kept saying, "My baby" and was desperate to "mother" him. Each child got a chance to hold MD while he cheerfully met his four cousins for the first time. Jane and Emily are trying to help keep the baby happy by handing him his pacifier, but they quickly lose interest in favor of playing with his toys. More than one member was fast asleep before the end of the day...

These pictures will be treasured when MD gets older! I love the fact that they all got to hold him...and I especially enjoyed the last pic of Michael sleeping!

So glad you took pictures...very cute. Jane saw them today and said, yet again, "my baby." She is pretty enraptured with your son.
