Yummy, yummy in my tummy

I have been cooking up a storm the past week. We have tried 4 new recipes so far with pretty good results.

I will share the easiest one here--

This is for you ADW! :P

Chicken Ole

Makes 8 servings

  • 10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 10 3/4 oz. can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 12 flour tortillas, each torn into 6-8 pieces or more
  • 3-4 c. cubed, cooked chicken
  • 7 oz. jar salsa
  • 1/2 c. grated cheddar
  1. In separate bowl, combine soups, sour cream and 1 1/2 c. cheddar.
  2. Place one third of the following in layers in your slow cooker: torn tortillas, soup mixture, chicken, and salsa. Repeat layers 2 more times.
  3. Cover. Cook on Low 4-5 hours. (this recipe does not respond well to cooking on High)
  4. Gently stir. Springkle with remaining 1/2 c. cheese. Cover. Cook on Low another 15-30 minutes.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips and lettuce.
In my opinion, this tastes a lot like enchiladas. Yummy!
