As we undertake to keep up with the rest of the world and technology... we will attempt to keep our thoughts penned regularly for you here on our blog. Most importantly, we would like this to be a reflection of the love of our Faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Three days of costumes

We began the weekend on Friday with a costume playgroup. David shed his costume as quickly as we arrived. He then had to be coaxed with a cookie back into it in time for pictures. David sported a knight's costume that a sweet friend made for D. E wore David's old Tigger outfit. She found a baby bottle at some point in the process and readily tried to drink from it!

Sunday the kids got dressed again in their togs for the church trunk or treat. This time David wore a pirate outfit and Elizabeth the same Tigger outfit. D really enjoyed all the rides this year! Just the right age. The lines were ridiculous though (see D yawning while waiting in line) so we spent most of our time waiting to get on them. Then we waited some more for trunk or treat as we hauled the two of them in the wagon down the line of cars to get candy. Crazy busy, but a great mission opportunity for the church though!

Monday we joined some friends and D went trick or treating door to door for the first time. He was really thrilled about going up to the doors and asking for candy. He came home loaded! (did it have anything to do with the fact that he tried to go to the same house three times?) E just took it all in from a nice ride in Mommy's arms. E was a bumblebee this time and D was in the same Peter Pan outfit he wore last year.

I think my favorite part of the night was D saying "Happy Christmas" at a house. Haha! Glad y'all came over!
