quiet parties

We enjoyed David's birthday today in the manner he requested.

He requested Chickfila for lunch with our special friends, the Lancasters.

He helped me make his cake--butter pecan on the bottom, carrot cake layer on top with cream cheese frosting.  Not beautiful but it tasted pretty good.

We enjoyed a nice "quiet" dinner at home with just the five of us.  David got his favorite, mac & cheese.

Some cake...

After dinner, David opened a few gifts...legos, transformers, some guns, some checks (Gram and GDaddy and Great Grandma K), a video game, a pair of pjs from Grammy and Grandpa, and  a nifty spark flying "Flash Rider."

Now off to bed for sweet dreams in his new pjs (size 8 which fit far too well).

I love David's enthusiasm for blowing out the candle! :) These young years pass much too quickly! Enjoy every moment. My two are 25 and 18.5 years old. Wow! Have a great weekend, Lisa
